Electrical Engineer

- Bachelor & Certification in engineering or electronics is required
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Basic knowledge of general Microsoft office usage
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Previous experience as electronic technician or similar role
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
The job holder is responsible for Electricians work on electrical equipment and in buildings, both existing and under construction, to install, repair and maintain power, lighting, communications and control systems, and servicing certain equipment and facilities, including air conditioning systems, water-cooling systems, and refrigerators, including operate and maintain and monitor all marine and freshwater aquatic life support systems
You will respond to requests for electrical repairs and breakdowns as well as perform routine maintenance and upgrade equipment as necessary. Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and make adjustments or repairs if they are not working properly.
Key Accountabilities:
• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
• Installing and repairing electronic equipment.
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress.
• Set up electronic systems and devices.
• Read and comprehend complex manuals and diagrams.
• Update reports and maintain inventory.
• Able to attend ON-call or emergency break down during rest day.
• Responsible for scheduling, updating, and providing quality assurance of the LSS preventative maintenance program.
• Including: monitor all filtration systems and water parameters. Filter cleaning (back washes, cleaning filter baskets, etc.)
