Responsibilities in the Job
Local Purchasing Manager [1 January 2025 – Present]
• Project Manager (PM) for the foreign labor procurement project (Lao nationality) as service staff across various branches (1,126 people), resulting in a procurement cost reduction of 8.25 MB.
• Collected data on product and service purchase orders with high spending, or total purchase value over 3 MB per year, repeat purchases, and items that directly affect store openings and impact the P&L. This data was then used for sourcing suppliers and negotiating terms that align with the expansion plans of each business unit.
• Create a checklist for branch-opening equipment to ensure easy verification of complete equipment delivery.
• Create and gather product and service requirements with BU, engineers, technical teams, maintenance teams, and development teams for special projects under PTG Group.
• Improved and created a workflow for assigning equipment tasks to the BOQ team, allowing them to manage subcontractor names themselves. Clear conditions were set for subcontractor payments, and the engineering team was assigned to oversee the CM work for calling in equipment installation. This approach aims to reduce procurement workload and shorten waiting times from the procurement team.
• Improve the equipment installation delivery documentation form to enhance standards, adding AS-IS & To-Be, items and quantities in BOM, BOQ, installation diagrams, and an evaluation form for approval by the technical team before final delivery.
• Improve the procurement and after-sales service process to provide a one-stop service, such as switching from purchasing air conditioners via distributors to direct turnkey purchasing by brand, enhancing installation quality and after-sales service, both during and after the warranty period.
• Manage the risk of product shortages due to vendors having insufficient capacity to meet the BU's demand plan by sourcing backup suppliers.
• Procure equipment for the opening of new stores such as Punthai Coffee, Maxmart, and Gas Stations, ensuring adequate stock control from Start to End.
• Manage and track the delivery status of equipment for new branch openings, as well as monitor the status of equipment repairs to ensure timely execution and adherence to established standards.
• Developed a purchasing database system to be used as supporting data for equipment maintenance in Punthai Coffee stores and PT Gas stations by extracting data from the centralized purchasing system and channeling it through Power BI in a report format that is accessible and exportable. This data is then delivered to the maintenance team for easy access to repair history information.
• Collected purchase orders that frequently require repairs and have issues with maintenance not meeting SLA. Investigated the causes, scheduled meetings with the product vendors, negotiated service terms, and created contracts to establish mutual operating agreements.
• Improve the reporting and maintenance processes for equipment related to new store openings in collaboration with ESS Company.
• Monitor the status of procurement orders and pending tasks within the team, including PR-PO-GR-Invoice.
• Develop and manage the annual bidding plan to achieve optimal results in terms of price, time, and quality.
• Review and negotiate prices and terms, purchase request: PR, price comparison summaries, and approve purchase orders: PO with amounts not exceeding 50,000 THB.
• Analyze recurring purchase data to improve and develop a faster and more cost-efficient procurement process by setting up contracts and price guarantees in the VRM system.
