 Responsible for NPR product categories within the region and developing /implementing sourcing strategies (for relevant NPR goods and services with SSM Tools) for the sites under direct responsibility to provide the sites with sufficient reliable and compliant sources of supply, with competitive prices and agreed service levels.
 Develop negotiation strategies, negotiate contracts, service levels, pricing and continuity of supply with vendors and review existing contracts and communicate results to both the sites and the Regional NPR Procurement Manger.
 Drive operation working capital reduction by payment terms optimization Guarantee of quality problem.
 Communicate savings and main KPIs locally and engage sites on purchasing priorities and improvement projects.
 Identify and implement improvement projects and pursue the continuous improvement target of cost, service quality and delivery.
 Develop and maintain clear and consistent reporting towards stakeholders regarding cost savings, payment terms, vendor policies, supplier/contractor management, etc.
 Manage: supplier relationships, existing supplier base and performance, process of supplier non-conformance and supplier reduction.
 Investigate, recommend and qualify suppliers and analyze and evaluate bids to determine optimum value and conduct value analysis studies.
 Support corporate NPR team for NPR saving/sourcing project
 Act as Focal point for related plants. Fun ctional Responsibilities/Network.
 The APAC NPR purchasing platform is part of the central Purchasing organization in ESD & PC, based under the Regional NPR Procurement Manger
 A strong relationship is required between the regional NPR purchasing platform and the AkzoNobel Sourcing organization in the region to establish a network that fosters sharing best practices and continuous improvement across the regions and BU’s.
 Team member or lead of BU and cross BU Sourcing projects in cooperation with AkzoNobel Sourcing.
 Able to build close relationship with stakeholders on the sites under direct responsibility: Site Management, Maintenance Manager, Engineering Department, etc.
