JOB DESCRIPTION
OBJECTIVE:
Work with a team of highly motivated professionals to design, develop and build an integrated School Management and e-learning platform system.
The Academic Systems Manager must have an excellent knowledge of managing academic systems used in a school setting for managing pupil, staff and parent data, assessments, reports and tracking and other such relevant academic and admin information.
The Academic Systems Manager must be keen to improve their abilities in order to remain at the cutting edge of their field. They must be familiar with a variety of operating systems and platforms.
The Academic Systems Manager must have an analytical mind-set, a keen eye for detail and be able to effectively coordinate communications of requirements between schools and the HSMC
programming and technical teams.
The goal is to develop a powerful, functional, intuitive and user friendly School Management Systems for Thai schools.
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Academic Systems Manager reports to the CTO
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Understand School requirements and how they translate in application features
Have a strong knowledge of IT systems available to schools on the market
Evaluate existing applications and systems in order to design, update and develop new features
Collaborate with the IT and Academic team to set specifications for new applications
Write high quality definitions and descriptions of specifications as received from schools
Work with the IT and Academic teams to perform unit and integration testing before launch
Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application and system design and functionality for users

- In-depth knowledge of academic assessments
- Excellent understanding of educational software design and functionality
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Great attention to detail and time-management skills
- BSc/BA in computer science or relevant field; MSc/MA will be appreciated
- Certified application developer is a plus

Contract:
A two year contract is offered.
Salary:
60,000 baht per month.
Arrival Accommodation:
In the event that an employee is hired who is not currently a resident in Phuket, the company will provide accommodation for the first ten days of the contract.
Health Care:
Social Health Care in accordance with Labour regulations.
Working Days:
Approximately 245 working days per year.
Sick days:
In accordance with labour laws and regulations.
Maternity and Paternity Leave.
6 weeks maternity paid leave. 5 days paternity leave paid.
Compassionate:
Sympathetically considered on a case by case basis. Permission must be requested in writing and signed by the CEO.

About HeadStart International School
HeadStart is based in the centre of Phuket Island. We started as a home school in 2005, gaining International School status in 2010. We are now a fully accredited International School with The Education Development Trust, having been awarded the International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM). We have been offering Cambridge qualifications throughout all Key Stages and iGCSEs for many years. The school now has over 600 students on roll and is oversubscribed in most year groups.
In August 2015 the school entered the latest phase in its exciting and rapid development when we moved into to a new state of the art campus. As part of the move to the new school, we also opened our Sixth-Form and have the first cohort completing their A Level examinations in 2017. Some of these students have been with HeadStart since the very beginning and will now be graduating to worldwide universities.
โรงเรียนนานาชาติเฮดสตาร์ท เปิดทำการเรียนการสอนเป็นโฮมสคูลมาตั้งแต่ ปี พ.ศ. 2547-2551 บริเวณถนนแม่หลวน อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดภูเก็ต หลังจากนั้นในปีพ.ศ. 2552 ได้ย้ายสถานที่ตั้งไปยังอาคารเลขที่ 41/6 ม.5 ถนนวิชิตสสงคราม ตำบลวิชิต อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้รับใบอนุญาตจัดตั้งให้เป็นโรงเรียนเอกชนประเภทนานาชาติ จากกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการศึกษาเอกชน หลังจากนั้นได้ย้ายที่ตั้งมายังโรงเรียนแห่งใหม่ ในปี พ.ศ. 2558 บนพื้นที่ 15 ไร่ พร้อมด้วยสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกครบครัน เพื่อรองรับจำนวนนักเรียนที่เพิ่มมากขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว เปิดทำการเรียนการสอนตั้งแต่ระดับเตรียมอนุบาล จนถึงมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย จัดการเรียนการสอนโดยใช้หลักสูตรของมหาวิทยาลัยเคมบริดจ์ ของประเทศอังกฤษ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อจัดการศึกษาที่มีคุณภาพระดับสากล เป็นโรงเรียนนานาชาติที่มุ่งเน้นค่านิยมไทย และส่งเสริมเอกลักษณ์ความเป็นไทยให้แก่ผู้เรียน และเพื่อรองรับชุมชนนานาชาติที่หลากหลายของจังหวัดภูเก็ต ปัจจุบันมีนักเรียนทั้งหมด 631 คน เป็นนักเรียนไทย 199 คน นักเรียนไทยลูกครึ่ง 187 คนและนักเรียนต่างชาติ 245 คน
